Gifted Programming
Students receive gifted programming services as third or fourth graders. Whole grade testing takes place in 2nd grade during the month of February with the IOWA & CogAT. Once results are processed, students will be identified based on the State of Ohio Gifted criteria (see below). Second grade students will be notified of their results before the end of the school year. Students who qualify will begin service in August at the start of the new school year. Parents will receive a copy of their child's "gifted plan" & be asked to sign a permission to participate form. Parents interested in referring their child for gifted testing can find "Parent Referral" information at the District website under "Departments"Pupil Services. Gifted programming begins in 3rd grade.
